Rumi: a Poet with Great Wisdom

Rumi is known as the true mystical poet. He was born and died in the 13th century. He was Persian in origin. His poetry is still read today. He had mystical powers. He wrote several masterpieces on mysticism and spirituality. He described the presence of God through his poetry. He wrote more than 60,000 poems. His collection of poetry is known as “Masnavi”. He wrote many Poems on Wisdom and love of life. His poetry is thought to be universal. Rumi was an evolutionary thinker. He believed in the existence of God. He thought that every human being is created on this earth for some purpose. This purpose is the attainment of God. Every human being should strive until he attains God. Apart from being a poet he was a philosopher, avid thinker, saint and a wise man too. His poetry is classic in nature. He was really a poet of wisdom.
