Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 (HR 1913)

Whereas James Madison declared that “no man would be punished for his thoughts” after introducing the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution,

And whereas the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution carries the essential requirement that “no person be denied equal protection under the law”,

And whereas the 5th Amendment asserts that “nor shall any person subject for the same offense be twice put in jeopardy”,

And whereas HR 1913, the “Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009” will:

Criminalize any “politically incorrect” thoughts directed against “politically favored” victim classes,

 

As well as add additional federal punishments to persons convicted of a crime by local jurisdictions, thereby making the crime unequal under the law and subject to double jeopardy,
